Terms of Service
EnglishLast updated: July 31, 2026
Welcome to Cookyori (“Cookyori,” “the Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a service operated by LJ Labs LLC at cookyori.com. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Service. By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who May Use the Service
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using Cookyori, you represent that you are 13 or older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
2. What Cookyori Does
Cookyori takes a publicly available cooking video (for example, a YouTube URL you provide) and uses automated processing to produce a structured, readable recipe — ingredients, steps, and related details — displayed alongside the original video. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
3. Your Account
Some features require an account, which is created and authenticated through our third-party identity provider. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Notify us promptly at contact@ljtechlabs.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Submit content or links that infringe the rights of others or that you do not have the right to submit;
- Attempt to scrape, overload, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems;
- Use the Service to build a competing dataset or product, or to resell its output, without our written permission.
5. Recipes and Intellectual Property
A recipe’s functional elements — its list of ingredients and the underlying steps and methods — are facts and procedures, which are generally not protected by copyright. Cookyori generates structured recipes automatically as a factual compilation of such information drawn from publicly available videos. We do not claim that these structured recipes are derivative works of the source videos, and we do not reproduce the videos themselves.
Where a recipe is derived from a source video, we display attribution and a link to the original video and its creator. The original creators retain all rights in their videos. The Cookyori name, logo, site design, and software are owned by the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws; you may not use them without permission.
6. Content You Provide
The Service may let you submit content — today this includes feedback and reports about recipes, and in the future may include recipe edits, notes, and shared collections (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant LJ Labs LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute that User Content for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Service. This license is intentionally broad so that planned features such as editing, annotating, and sharing recipes can work; it ends when you delete your User Content, except for copies retained in routine backups or as required by law. You are responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to grant this license.
7. Copyright and DMCA Takedown
We respect intellectual-property rights and respond to valid notices. If you believe content available through the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent that includes: (a) your physical or electronic signature; (b) identification of the work claimed to be infringed; (c) identification of the material and its location on the Service; (d) your contact information; (e) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and (f) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
Designated Agent: Copyright Manager, LJ Labs LLC, reachable at contact@ljtechlabs.com. We will remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid notice and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same agent.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on and links to third-party services (for example, video platforms and our authentication provider). We are not responsible for third-party content, services, or practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Recipes are generated by automated processing and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your needs. They are not professional culinary, nutritional, dietary, or allergen advice. Always use your own judgment, and check ingredients and instructions — especially for allergies and food safety — against authoritative sources before relying on them.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LJ Labs LLC and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $100.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LJ Labs LLC and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Changes are effective when posted, and your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the Service.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located there for any dispute that is not otherwise subject to a separate agreement.
15. Contact
